Settings for a site

Some settings can be different for one site: ads, video that starts by itself, dark pages and zoom. Open them with View → Settings for This Site…, from the command palette, or from Settings for This Site… in the privacy report.

A site's settings cover its subdomains too: settings for nrk.no apply on www.nrk.no and tv.nrk.no. A subdomain can have its own, which win. Changing a setting reloads the site's open pages.

Ads and trackers

Allow on This Site turns ad blocking off for the site, YouTube's ad removal included. Use it when a site doesn't work with blocking, or to support a site you like. Block goes back to blocking. With ad blocking off everywhere in Settings, this has no effect.

Video and sound that start by themselves

• Allow: pages may start video and sound (the default).
• Only Without Sound: muted video may start; video with sound waits for you to press play.
• Never: nothing plays until you press play.

Dark pages

On darkens a site that has no dark mode of its own, for reading at night. Litr inverts the page's colours from the moment it starts to load and keeps photos, videos and pictures as they are. A page that turns out to be dark already is left alone.

Zoom

Zoom (⌘+ and ⌘−) is remembered per site, as in Safari and Chrome: zoom in on a site once and it opens that way again, in any tab. Zoom is per host (docs.example.com and example.com each keep their own). Reset goes back to 100 %; ⌘0 does too.

All sites with settings

Settings (⌘,) lists every site with settings of its own, with Edit and Reset. Reset All for This Site in a site's settings forgets them.
