Glass edge

Litr's window has no title bar. The sidebar, toolbar and a thin rim around the page are drawn as translucent glass over a blur of whatever is behind the window. The glass is tinted with the site's theme colour: a site's <meta name="theme-color">, or else the page's own background colour. The page itself has rounded corners.

Text in the chrome turns dark or light automatically to stay readable.

The glass edge is on by default. Turn it off with Glass edge in settings (⌘,) for solid, opaque chrome; the page colour is still used. The change applies immediately.

Hiding the sidebar

Press ⌘S, or ☰ in the toolbar. The page takes the full width and the toolbar moves right to make room for the window buttons.

Focus mode

Press ⇧⌘F (View → Focus Mode) to hide the sidebar, the toolbar and the window buttons. Only the page and its glass rim remain.

• A thin strip along the top still lets you drag the window.
• ⌘L brings the address bar back and leaves focus mode. So do ⇧⌘F and ⌘S.
• All shortcuts and the command palette keep working.

Web apps

A web app window has no sidebar or toolbar. A slim title bar shows the page title, with room for the window buttons. ⌘L shows the address bar until you press Enter or Esc.
