Troubleshooting

Signing in

“No Félagi with desktop support was found at this address.” Check the address — it's the one you use for Félagi in the browser, without /app. If it's right, your Félagi server may be too old for the desktop app; ask whoever runs it.

The browser didn't open. Choose Open the browser again, or Copy code and open your Félagi in the browser yourself.

“The code has expired.” Start again; the code is valid for a few minutes.

“Could not save the sign-in to this computer's keychain.” The operating system refused to store the sign-in. On macOS, if a dialog asked whether Félagi may use the keychain, choose Always Allow and try again. On Linux, make sure a keyring (GNOME Keyring, KWallet) is running.

The app asks for keychain access after an update. That's macOS checking the new version. Choose Always Allow.

Being signed out

“You have been signed out. Please sign in again.” The sign-in for that workspace was revoked or expired, or you were removed from the workspace. The app moves on to another workspace if you have one; sign in again to get it back.

“You have changes that haven't been sent yet.” You tried to sign out (or switch sign-in) while offline changes were waiting. Wait until you're back online and they've been sent. See Working offline.

Messages and notifications

I don't get notifications. Check the conversation's notification setting (click its name), and that your operating system allows Félagi to notify. You're not notified about a conversation that's open in front of you. See Notifications.

A message says Sends when you're back online. You're offline; it will be sent automatically. See Working offline.

“Somebody else changed this at the same time.” Someone else saved the same thing first. For pages, choose Use theirs or Keep mine; elsewhere, look at the current version and make your change again.

“Too many requests. Wait a moment and try again.” The app slows itself down if it's asking the server unusually often. Wait a few seconds.

Features I can't find

There's no assistant button. The assistant is switched off on your Félagi server. See The assistant.

Meetings say they're switched off. Meetings are off for this workspace; they're switched on in the workspace's settings on the web.

Scheduled messages or reminders don't go out. They're sent by your Félagi server; if they're late, tell whoever runs it (see Notes for administrators).

Still stuck

Open in browser (workspace menu) to check whether the same thing happens on the web. If it does, it's on the server; if not, tell your administrator what you did and what the app said.
