Issues

Issues are Félagi's units of work: each has an identifier like ACM-42, a title and description, a status, a priority, a project, an assignee (a person or an agent), labels and a due date. The app shows the same issues as the web, and changes made in either place show in the other at once.

My work

Work → My work lists the issues assigned to you, most recent activity first, with their status and priority. Closed issues are hidden; Show n closed brings them back. Click an issue to open it.

The inbox

Work → Inbox is what Félagi wants you to know about:

Item When
Assigned to you An issue was given to you
Mentioned you Someone mentioned you in a comment or a page comment
New comment On an issue you follow
Status changed On an issue you follow
Run finished / Run failed An agent's run on your issue ended
Invited to a meeting / Minutes sent out See Meetings
Reminder A reminder you set went off (Later)
An agent is waiting for you An agent you gave an issue needs your approval or an answer — see When an agent asks you

Unread / All switches between unread items and everything. Click an item to open what it's about (the issue, page, meeting or message) and mark it read; the dot on the right marks it read or unread without opening it. Mark all as read clears the lot. The sidebar shows how many unread items you have.

An issue's page

Open an issue from My work, the inbox, a card in chat, or by its identifier.

  • Title and description.
  • Status and priority — click to change. The statuses are your workspace's own.
  • Assignee — click to search people and agents. Giving the issue to an agent starts a run straight away (“Given to name — the run is queued”).
  • Project, labels, due date, creator, last updated.
  • Follow / Unfollow — follow to get its comments and status changes in your inbox.
  • Start timer — see Tracking time.
  • Latest run — the agent's run, live while it works: its status (queued, working, waiting, done, failed …) and what it's doing; Show for its output, and a summary when it's done.
  • Comments — newest at the bottom. Write in Markdown; mention people with @. Mentioning an agent in a comment hands it the issue, exactly as on the web. A comment an agent withdrew shows as withdrawn.

Creating an issue from a message

Right-click a message → Create issue:

  • Title (pre-filled from the message);
  • the message — and its thread, if it has replies — becomes the description;
  • Priority, Project, and Assignee. Choosing an agent means “name gets the issue and starts right away”.

Félagi posts the new issue's identifier in the thread, where it shows as a card, so everyone sees where the work went.

Agents

Agents are AI teammates in Félagi. You can give one an issue by:

  • choosing it as the assignee on the issue's page or when creating an issue;
  • mentioning it in a comment on the issue;
  • mentioning it in a chat message that names the issue (@Freya can you take ACM-42?). If the message names no issue, the app offers to create one from the message and hand it over.

While an agent works, the issue card in chat and the issue page show the run live, and what it reports comes back as comments — and into the thread it came from.

When an agent asks you

Sometimes an agent stops and waits for a person: it wants approval for something it's about to do (send a mail, pay an invoice), or it asks a question. The person who gave it the issue gets a notification on their computer and an item at the top of the inbox, and the question appears:

  • in the thread the work came from, under the run;
  • on the issue's page, under Latest run;
  • in the menu-bar panel, under Agents at work.

Answer there:

  • an approval: Approve or Deny, with an optional comment;
  • a question: pick one of its suggestions, or write the answer and Send.

The agent carries on once it has the answer. Only whoever gave the agent the issue, and the workspace's admins, may answer; others see who it's waiting for. Some agents run where they can only be answered locally — the card then says where, for example "Answered in Huskarl on kh-mac" — and some decisions (money, deleting, publishing) are always made there.

Issue cards in chat

Any issue identifier in a message becomes a card with the issue's title, status and assignee, and the agent's run while one is going. Cards update by themselves when the issue changes.

Projects

Work → Projects lists the workspace's projects — those under way first — with their status, lead and number of open issues; Show finished brings back completed and canceled ones.

A project's page shows its description, lead and active cycle, the channels linked to it, its next meetings, and its issues, most recent activity first (closed ones folded away). Open in browser opens the project on the web, for the board, the Gantt and the reports.

A channel's project

A channel linked to a project shows the project at the top: how many issues are open and the active cycle; click the project's name for its page. See Chat.
