Tracking time
Félagi records hours against issues. The app has a timer and lets you log time by hand.
The timer
- Start timer on an issue's page, or next to an issue in the menu-bar panel.
- While it runs, the sidebar shows the issue and the elapsed time; click it to open the issue.
- Stop timer (or Stop and log) records the time on the issue. You can add a short note — What did you do?
- Discard throws the running time away.
One timer runs at a time, for you, across the web and every device: starting one on another issue stops the first and logs it (“Stopped the timer on ACM-12 (time logged)”).
The menu-bar panel
Click the Félagi icon in the menu bar (macOS) or system tray (Windows, Linux) — or press Control+Option+Space (Ctrl+Alt+Space) from any app. The panel shows:
- New issue — type a title and press Enter: the issue is created, in the project you pick beside it (or none), and assigned to you, without leaving what you were doing;
- your next meeting today, with a countdown; click it to open the meeting;
- the running timer, with a note field, Stop and log and Discard;
- Agents at work — runs on your issues that are working, queued or waiting for someone; an agent waiting for you shows its question, to approve, deny or answer right there (When an agent asks you);
- your open issues (up to eight) with Start timer beside each, and Log time on an issue by hand.
Click an issue or a meeting to open it in the main window.
The panel stays over other apps while it's open and hides when you click elsewhere. Right-click the icon for its menu: Åpne Félagi (open Félagi) and Avslutt (quit). This menu is always in Norwegian: it's made before the app knows your language.
If you're signed out, the panel asks you to open Félagi and sign in first.
Logging time by hand
In the panel, choose Log time on an issue and type how long, for example
1h 30m, 45m or 1.5h, then press Enter. The app confirms “1h 30m logged on
ACM-42”.
